The first major 3D lidar event of the year is just one week away. ILMF 2016 will open February 22 in Denver, CO with a series of product previews in two tracks on Monday morning. The program gets underway with a keynote on tactical oceanography by David Gallo, Senior Advisor at Columbia’s Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory. The day wraps up with a panel discussion on single photon and Geiger-mode lidar. Woolpert is sponsoring a social event in the exhibit area that evening.
Tuesday and Wednesday will feature dual tracks discussing USGS updates, Topo-Bathy Surveys, data fusion, feature extraction, forestry, and of course UAV/UAS integration, plus much more.
I hope to see many of you in Denver next week.
We at rapidlasso / LAStools will not attend ILMF this year. Instead we will code LASzip for LAS 1.4 (“native extension”) at the QGIS code sprint in Paris. Quite a number of core point cloud developers will be coming to France this year … (-:
Hello everyone,
ClearSkies Geomatics will attend ILMF! As an authorized partner of PhaseOne Industrial, Somag and Xenarc we have a large offerings of used equipment that we would like to present to our colleagues during this great event!
I am looking forward to seeing you all!
Pat McConnell.
