Pulsed Light is the name of the company. They are seeking $53k to help fund the development of a low cost “LiDAR-lite” distance measuring device via the Dragon Innovation website.
A quick look at their video revealed that rather than using a relatively expensive clock, they are using the shape of the waveform as an optical signature that they claim can be used to determine the range in a much smaller form factor and at much less cost.
This could have a number of important consumer applications.
