A recent report has demonstrated that having the results of testing at a potential wind farm site using a wind LiDAR increases the value of the property. According to an article in Fierce Energy the research indicates that these laser-based wind measurements can increase the value of a typical Dutch wind farm by more than 1 million euros ($1.3 million).
The wind LiDAR can be tuned to analyze the wind profiles at up to 200m above the ground surface.
