Velodyne Announces $10,000 Model

It seems as though Velodyne is listening to the market concerning the price of LiDAR sensors. I am not able to see the full post, but it sounds like Velodyne is working on a prototype of a $10,000 LiDAR sensor. I suppose the question is what will the accuracy and resolution be.

As we know the consumer market is going to put a lot of downward pressure on the price of scanners. It’s just a matter of time.
