“Steady as She Goes” – that’s the message I received in my interview today with Lisa Murray, the recently appointed Director of Spar Point Group. In fact, according to Lisa, a 16 year veteran of parent company Diversified Communications she and her team have exciting plans for taking SPAR Point to the next level and beyond.
When I asked about the reasons for Tom’s departure after 2 years with Diversified, I learned that it was “no longer a good fit” for the entrepreneur who partnered with Bruce Jenkins to found the company back in 2003. At this time there are no plans to replace Tom.
Lisa noted that the Advisory Board and Conference Track Chairs for SPAR International 2012 are hard at work on the upcoming event, and that there are a number of new promotions including a “Newcomer Sponsor” category, 1 day and “exhibitor only” registrations. The goal is to make the event more accessible.
We are looking forward to working with Lisa and her team to continue the important work that the Spar Point Group is doing for the 3D reality capture industry.
