Preserving the Leaning Tower of Pisa

Thanks to Michael Raphael at Direct Dimensions for the heads up on this. It’s an impressive video from the BBC explaining the use of laser scanning in preserving the Leaning Tower of Pisa as well as other contributors.

They used the Zeb1 and a local virtual reality cave to create an amazing look inside the Tower. It seems to be a great application of this handheld scanning system- nicely matched tool for the project.
