Jeff Fagerman from LiDARUSA contacted me today to inform me that he has developed a mobile laser scanning system using FARO’s Focus 3D. I was not aware of this, although I probably should have been. I can assure you it was not intentional.
The ScanLook Mobile system is highly portable weighing only 55 pounds and mounting is via a standard trailer hitch for the ultimate in simplicity. The system was designed for engineering grade accuracy and Jeff indicates the price is at a level that “Even a single owner business can afford ScanLook in the right business environment”.
As with many of the applications built on the Focus3D this is definitely worth investigating.
