Magic Leap Intel

This Magic Leap story reminds me a bit of Dean Kamen’s claims to revolutionize the world with the Segway, but this would certainly appear to have much more force behind it. Sean Hollister has done a lot of work on the history of the project in this article for GIZmodo.

It would seem that it is going to be a wearable that will be able to seamlessly merge computer graphics and imagery with the real world. With over $500 million in VC money and the top product guy at Google joining the board I think this bears watching.

Thanks to Bill Gutelius at Active Imaging Systems for continuing to track this. He believes that laser scanning is a part of the Magic Leap system. Time will tell.
