LiDAR Used to Study Landslides

In this article in the Mail Tribune Vickie Aldous reports on the use of LiDAR by the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries. They mapped landslide hazards along Interstate 5 using LIDAR to see through vegetation and reveal highly detailed images of land forms to analyze the safety of a planned ski resort.
