LiDAR as Art Contest

This is different. GeoDigital International, one of the leading airborne LiDAR and imaging firms just announced their “LiDAR as Art” contest. Looks like the winners – both individuals and their employers will be showcased at the upcoming ILMF 2012 conference in Denver, Colorado January 23 – 25. The winning employers will have donations made in their name to the charity of their choice and the individual gets and iPad.

Sounds like a fun and beneficial promotion.

  1. I have being doing this for a long time, making Art out of the laser data that we collect
For about 3 or 4 years, now we have an helicopter and an Optech Orion 263 system
mounted on it, now I can make relly beautifull screen captures and make Art out of them, really nice points density, that makes the trick, and Merrick’s MARS-7 software.
By the way, I will be participating in this contest with 5 of my images!….
