Lidar and the Jungle

In this well written article in Archaeology the authors detail the value that lidar is creating in penetrating forest canopy to reveal lost civilizations. Anthropologists around the world are making quantum leaps forward in their mapping of sites buried deep in the rain forests and jungles.
