I find it somewhat interesting that GEOINT 2012 and InterGEO 2012 overlap. Most likely the target markets are quite different, but I think it is fair to say that there will be quite a strain on vendors to cover both events with their top people as these are two of the more important conferences of the year.
A quick look at the GEOINT program did not produce any specific LiDAR sessions, but you can be sure it is one of the important enabling technologies that will be discussed throughout the conference.
A search of the InterGEO program database using the word “LiDAR” returned 4 sessions – 2 in English and 2 in German. A note on the site indicated that most sessions would be in German. It has always been my understanding that most people go for the exhibits. Maybe next year.

This is a good indication of impending conference and tradeshow shakeups. There are just too many events to be covered with appropriate quality. Here is a good opportunity for imaginative deployment of quality online and activities. Saves money for vendors, presenters and interested atendees!
