Well as we enter our third year of dealing with the Covid pandemic there seems to be some good news beginning to emerge at least in terms of the case counts. In addition, Geo Week 2022 taking place in Denver, CO from February 6 – 8 is going to be live and in-person. Yee-Haw!!
Here’s why the conference promoters think you should attend.
We’re excited to define the next iteration of Geo Week: the coming together of the International Lidar Mapping Forum (ILMF), SPAR 3D Expo & Conference and AEC Next as an integrated event covering the next generation of digital technology. The combined conference program and trade show floor will feature commercial applications of 3D technologies, innovations and case studies in the built environment, advanced airborne and terrestrial remote sensing solutions, smart products for a full project team and much more!
In addition to these technology events coming together, powerful partnership events will also take place at Geo Week, including the ASPRS (American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) Annual Conference and USIBD’s (U.S. Institute of Building Documentation) Annual Symposium. Bringing all these brands together as a new powerhouse event under the Geo Week umbrella is a fitting evolution that recognizes the increasing convergence of the technologies.
Sunday February 6 will open with workshops and product previews, in the morning. The opening keynote will take place at Noon with “Exploring the Intersection of Technology and Rethinking Collaboration and Communication using VR.” It took awhile to get to the interesting part, namely the VR, or what is quickly becoming known as the metaverse.
The exhibit hall opens at 1 PM. Product presentations will continue throughout the afternoon while there will be a number of presentations ranging from autonomous vehicles to smart buildings and topobathy. After a break there will be another set of presentations including facility management, 360 degree video mapping and a university lightening round.
That will be followed by a Welcome Happy Hour in the exhibit hall at 5 PM – 6:30.
How’s that for an opening day? Stay tuned for Monday and Tuesday highlights. Hope to see you there.
