The ASPRS IGTF conference wraps up today with Frontier Day. This is an outreach focused event that seeks to engage with a new audience of K – 12 students and educators as well as the business community that are consumers of geospatial information and remote sensing, but who are in most cases aware of how the members of ASPRS are affecting their daily lives.
Three application areas are being targeted – 3D cities, public safety and of course, oil and gas. There will be presentation from the technical and the business angles.
The goal is to open up new markets for the ASPRS membership and to increase awareness for the contribution that the members provide to society. I will let you know how it goes.
