Ecology and LiDAR

In this TED talk by Greg Asner he refers to his 3D mapping technology as a high tech accounting system for carbon. I like that. He has created the Carnegie Airborne Observatory to obtain the LiDAR and other remote sensing data needed to quantify what is happening to the world’s ecology.
