A Day to Remember

mem_day_picHere in the United States we are celebrating Memorial Day. It’s a day to remember the people who have died while serving in the country’s armed forces. It does not have to be just here in the U.S., but around the world.

Man of us take a lot for granted, but freedom is not something that everyone has. In New Hampshire we are reminded of this because of our state motto – “Live Free or Die.”

Of all the monuments in Washington, D.C. the one above – “Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima” is my favorite.

Mainly I want to say thank you to all of those members of the U.S. military who have served and may be doing so now. The world is a much better place because of you.
