A number of presentations, including those from the USGS on the status of the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) had to be cancelled at the recent ILMF conference.
A webinar has been scheduled for April 24, 2019 at 11 AM EDT, in which three (3) USGS representatives will deliver their presentations that had to be cancelled due to the recent federal government shutdown.
Since the USGS is such a critical component of the commercial lidar industry, ILMF believes that helping their representatives share regular program updates with the commercial community is important. These presentations will provide an update of the ongoing 3D Elevation Program (3DEP), the strategic data acquisition plan for 3DEP, and changes to the USGS Lidar Base Specification review and approval process.

3D Elevation Program Status and Future Directions
Vicki Lukas is the Chief of Topographic Data Services in the National Geospatial Program of the USGS, where she oversees 3DEP and the National Hydrography Datasets of The National Map. She will present Vicki has over 25 years of experience as a Geographer at the USGS.
3D Elevation Program Strategic Acquisition Plan
Diane Eldridge is employed as a physical scientist at the US Geological Survey National Geospatial Program. Ms. Eldridge has been with the USGS since 1989.
The USGS Lidar Base Specification Review and Approval Process
ames Kaufmann is the Standards Specialist for Elevation products for the US Geological Survey’s National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC).
