- I will be attending the conference which begins Sunday and runs through Thursday in San Ramon CA.
- Geoff Jacobs organizes one of the best events of the year.
- I will attempt to report on the important announcements and presentations.
I will be attending the Leica User Conference, which starts on Sunday, October 25 in beautiful San Ramon, CA and with the workshops continues through Thursday, October 29. Just for the thrill of it, I’ll take the red-eye back to Boston on Wednesday night. Actually I had sworn off red-eyes, but with my noise canceling headphones, assuming I remember to charge them, I have found it to be my preferred return from the left coast.
As I have mentioned in earlier posts this is one of the most informative events of the year for the laser scanning industry. Geoff Jacobs does a superb job of building the agenda and making sure that the speakers tell “how”. If you are not willing to share, you do not get on the agenda. It’s that simple.
A quick review of the general agenda finds 40 presentations featuring a mix of HDS customer success stories and Leica technical product overviews. More than half of the presenters are from outside the US. Ben Kacyra will be there for the parallel heritage mini-track and there will also be a “Management Perspective” provided by Leica senior management.
I will do my best to report the highlights, and if you are going to be there I hope to speak with you.
