I spent most of the last 2 days unplugged in Salida, Colorado with my son and daughter. Yesterday we hiked a fairly short, but steep trail and today we went white water rafting for 6+ hours on the Arkansas River. The scenery was amazing in both cases and it really felt good to be offline for most of the time.
If you are ever looking for an outdoor recreation area that has it all be sure to check out Salida. Mountain biking, rock climbing, fly fishing, rafting, hiking and skiing in the winter – all in a laid back, uncrowded and friendly area.
Back to work on Monday. I highly recommend taking a few days off to re-charge and enjoy life.
