Surveying Engineering Professionals Group

Continuing with the surveying engineering professionals theme, I have created a LinkedIn group with the same name. To get things started I put in the following description:

This group is to be a meeting place for the exchange of ideas concerning professional surveyors who are focused on civil engineering projects that require a deep understanding of control, measurement, datums, instruments, monumentation, GNSS, layout and coordinate systems.

I would like to invite everyone interested in this topic to join the LinkedIn group “Surveying Engineering Professionals” to contribute your thoughts on where this group should focus its efforts and to exchange valuable information.

Please pass the word to your friends and colleagues as we work on recognizing the importance of the surveying engineering community.

I would like to take part in the surveying engineering group, but, I am not a registered, licensed civil engineer or engineering PLS. I do have a lot of experience in engineering surveys in the transportation infrastructure for SEPTA, AMTRAK, PATCO, NJ Transit, Del. Penn, NJ. I have DOI (BLM), DOE, and FAA surveying experience utilizing Leica surveying instruments (GPS, Total Stations, Elec. Levels) with DATA Collectors.
It’s always great to kep up with the changing technology.
