The intrepid Bill Gutelius has done it again. This time he has uncovered what might be the most important 3D technology company that you have never heard of. The Microsoft Kinect uses PrimeSense technology.
This Israeli-based company’s technology is “giving devices a 3D view of the world, creating a synchronized depth image, so they can see, understand and interact with their environment.” 3D meet the mass market!
The Matterport scanner also uses PrimeSense technology. This is where the real 3D action is going to be.
UPDATE: I guess this might not be as a big a secret as I thought. I guess I just missed it. Time will tell.
