Marc Cheves reports that the first Faro user conference has more than 270 people in attendance. The great thing about this event is the mix of metrology and longer range scanning users that are in the same room.
Jay Freeland, Faro CEO reported, as you might have guessed, that sales of the Faro 3D have been very promising. Abe Reichental from 3D systems provided the audience with a great overview of the use of 3D printing and Tom Kurke of Geomagic opened people’s eyes on the issue of intellectual property. You may need permission to scan things that you think are public.
