Congratulations to Chris Crosby and his team at OpenTopography for recently having their funding renewed for 3 years by the NSF. I am sure in this funding environment that it is not an easy task to accomplish.
OpenTopography is an Internet-based project that provides open and free access to high-resolution topographic data collected by technologies such as LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging). OpenTopography is managed by the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) at the University of California, San Diego, and Arizona State University’s (ASU) School of Earth and Space Exploration.
They also host data from NCALM and USGS CLICK. Keep up the good work.
My research has benefited a lot from OpenTopography. It is a very valuable service to our geospatial community such as ASPRS.
Bingcai, we’re very happy to hear that your work has benefited from OpenTopography – thank you for your support.
