I am sure that most of you remember when Mt. Rushmore was 3D laser scanned during the summer of 2010. The imagery taken during the survey could give you vertigo. This was part of the ongoing Scottish Ten digital preservation effort that included the Glasgow School of Art and CyArk.
In case you missed it, plus if you want to see and learn a lot more about this incredible national treasure, CyArk is now offering the finished virtual tours on their website -truly impressive. All involved are to be congratulated for all their hard work and the contributions they have made to preserving this national monument for future generations to enjoy.
Spread the word.
