Ted Knaak has spent the past couple of years building a new software company – Certainty 3D. I have gotten to know Ted through the ASTM E57 committee where he has been working on developing guidelines for 3D laser scanned data collection.
TopoDOT, as the name of the software implies was initially targetted at highway applications, generally using the stop and go method, which the company has developed specific hardware to support over the past couple of years. Today the software is finding a much broader set of applications.
