Laser Scanning + Hyperspectral Imaging

Just a quick link today to a very informative article on the combination of laser scanning and hyperspectral imaging as I have to head to the airport. SPAR was a tremendous success for all involved, and I will follow up with more in-depth discussion of a few of the presentations. Thanks to all of you for the words of encouragement for the blog.

This is at least the second time that I have come across the reference to combining hyperspectral with laser scanning. The promise of this multi-sensor, data fusion approach is that the users will be able to identify individual species of plants and trees, noxious gasses and aerosols, minerals and soil types – very powerful.

If you are aware of the results of this kind of work I would appreciate hearing from you.
