In the past 24 hours I have seen 2 announcements – one from Optech and one from Topcon concerning the use of Blue Marble’s coordinate transformation software. I think this is being driven by the increased interest in mobile scanning.
Having helped put Blue Marble on the map back in 1996 when we worked in Jeff Cole’s barn in Gardiner, Maine I go back to the beginning. Software components were just coming into their own then, and we were in the right place at the right time.
If you need to support geographic coordinate conversions around the world take a look at Blue Marble. You can be sure that it works, and gives the right answers.
