The international LiDAR mapping community is headed to Denver this week for ILMF’s LiDAR10 annual conference and exhibition. The event opens at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center on Wednesday March 3 with the ASPRS Hot Topics session, and a major keynote from H. Karl Heidermann at the USGS on specifying LiDAR data collections.
The exhibits will have 59 booths – a major increase over the previous year and will include many of the leading airborne and mobile mapping firms from around the world.
The technical sessions will feature tracks on data acquisiti0n, bathymetric LiDAR and data fusion. Thursday and Friday will be a “Basics to LIDAR Workshop” series that will include a number of sessions on mobile mapping.
The challenge I have at these events is balancing the reporting with the learning. It’s a lot harder than it might seem.
