Mike Olsen just sent me this heads up, “We have additional open faculty positions in our school of civil and construction engineering at Oregon State University.” This is great news for the industry and the key to the future.
Geomatics Engineering. The candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following: GNSS testing and development of static and kinematic systems, inertial navigation systems, gravity, surveying with unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or drones, automated machine control/guidance in construction, deformation monitoring/inspection techniques and technologies, infrastructure inventory and assessment, 3D design, digital workflows, geospatial data management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Construction Engineering and/or Management
Wide range of expertise, including advanced technologies for construction, advanced information systems for construction, sustainable and green construction, building/civil information modelling (BIM/CIM), augmented reality and construction visualization, advanced procurement and contracting methods, and/or other complementary topics of expertise will be considered.
