Firings at Nova Scotia Community College

There is some disappointing news coming out of Canada about the firing of 3 key LiDAR scientists at the Nova Scotia Community College in Middleton, Nova Scotia. Over the past 10 years the team had built quite a valuable and highly respected applied LiDAR research, education and training program.

That all came to an abrupt end last week when the college announced they wanted to go in a different direction. There are a number of scientists, familiar with the program who are not pleased with this decision. Let’s hope that all the work that has been accomplished will not be lost.

If you have any suggestions please pass them on.
