Esri AEC Summit 2014

Esri is transforming the Survey Summit into the AEC Summit. I completely support this move and believe it offers an important opportunity to broaden the scope of this important event and discussion.

I have spent a large part of my career working on the integration of CAD and GIS and unfortunately not a lot as been accomplished. This event is an opportunity to change that.

David Totman, the Esri Global Industry Manager for AEC, Survey, and Public Works is joining forces with Donny Sosa to develop this expanded event. Both need your support to get this concept rolling.

The AEC Summit registration also includes Monday and Tuesday of the Esri International User Conference, which allows further opportunity to interact with more professionals and access a multitude of technical and educational resources.

The theme of this year’s event is The Forum for High Accuracy which as we know is a key area of discussion when it comes to the integration of GIS and CAD.  Add in the transition from 2D to 3D and you can see the tremendous opportunity that exists to move things in a new direction. I hope to see many of you in sunny San Diego.
