Brent Gelhar predicts that “these types of robots will become more independent with new ranging sensors emerging on the market. The emerging sensors will produce much higher accuracy range measurements with prices similar to today’s sensors. Look carefully at the industrial sensor on the front of this robot, imagine similar sensors with sub centimeter accuracy and comparable prices.”
