Dust Cloud Shuts Down Airborne LiDAR Industry

As a LIDAR industry veteran who is stuck in London pointed out to me this weekend, it’s amazing how “this single event could affect so many people on our industry”. And if 28,000 flights canceled in 3 days are not enough, some scientists are predicting the Iceland volcanic eruptions could last for a year.

I don’t even want to think about that. The worldwide economy is too fragile. Let’s hope for improving weather patterns so the passenger and LiDAR flights can resume.
