Calculating Volume from a Point Cloud

The folks at Laserscanning Europe just announced the availability of a new volume tool in their PointCab software. They have also produced the following demo. The workflow seems quite simple and they automatically produce a pdf documenting the results.

    Hi,
    It is to easy to calculate it in CATIA but I’m wondering to know how can I build a solid shape based on cloud point and export it into Abaqus
    I did it in SoildWork but it has limitation in importing points
